Amanda has worked in our practice in 2021 as a temporary hygienist and impressed everyone whom she encountered. Similarly, she found a practice which reflected her passion and focus on dental health and quality care. She then joined us in 2022, after returning to work from maternity leave and has quickly become an integral part of our team. Amanda graduated from RMIT University in 2017 with an Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene, after first completing a certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting and Dental Radiography.
Amanda has had a long career in dentistry, starting off as a dental assistant in 2002 and has worked in hospital settings and in private practices in country Victoria, Melbourne, and Perth, before meeting her husband and settling in Melbourne.
Amanda is a member of the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia and has a profound commitment to continuing education. She always strives to keep up to date with the latest proven clinical developments and has a love of learning that keeps her attending many dental courses each year.
Amanda has a special interest in treating and preventing periodontal ( advanced gum) disease and in maintaining the health of dental implants. She also loves helping patients achieve their best possible smile through whitening procedures. Amanda works closely with all of the dentists and plays an active role in helping patients achieve the best oral and facilitates overall health outcomes through evidence-based practice and the latest technology.
Amanda’s gentle approach to treatment makes every appointment an enjoyable experience for her patients, and she, in turn, derives fulfillment from making meaningful connections and creating relationships with her patients too. After seeing Amanda, her patients feel empowered, cared for, and in control of their oral health.
In a past life Amanda was a singer/songwriter ,and when she isn’t wearing her Hygienist hat, she enjoys yoga, creating extraordinary cupcake creations and spending time with her family exploring Australia and the world.
