Lucy Carolan

Lucy joined the team at Q Dental as their first Oral Health Therapist in early 2019 and helped start the preventative maintenance program. She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Oral Health (hygiene/therapy) from Charles Sturt University. Before becoming an oral health therapist, Lucy worked as a dental assistant for six years.

As a dental assistant, Lucy trained at a paediatric dental clinic where she gained fantastic skills working with children and their families in a dental setting. Lucy also has experience working at an orthodontic clinic and has volunteered her time and expertise overseas treating underprivileged children in Cambodia.

As an oral health therapist, Lucy is expertly trained in periodontal care for all ages and can also perform examinations and restorative treatment for patients until the age of 26. She is passionate about children’s dentistry and making sure her patients have a positive experience at every visit. She believes preventative care is crucial and will always take the time to ensure her patients feel confident looking after their teeth.

Lucy believes that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be a daunting experience. She likes to work with children and their families early to develop lifelong happy, healthy habits.

Outside of dentistry, Lucy is a typical Melbournian who loves going for brunch and finding the best soy lattes Melbourne offers. Her pride and joy is her four-year-old ragdoll cat named Morty, and if you ask, she will happily show you photos.
